В этом сборнике впервые представлены стихотворения А. Ахматовой в составе, который можно озаглавить "Потаенная Ахматова".
Это стихотворения Ахматовой, которые никогда при ее жизни не были напечатаны, стихотворения, которые друзья Ахматовой заучивали наизусть и оригиналы которых сжигались. В них слышен голос большого гражданского поэта, разделившего страдания своего народа и сумевшего рассказать о них.
"В Кремле не надо жить - Преображенец прав, / Там зверства древнего еще кишат микробы: / Бориса дикий страх, и всех Иванов злобы, / И Самозванца спесь - взамен народных прав".
Серия "Настоящая Ахматова" отличается от всех предшествующих изданий стихотворений и поэм А. Ахматовой прежде всего качеством текстологической подготовки: все тексты этой серии сверены по автографам, хранящимся в государственных архивах и частных собраниях, а также по первым публикациям в периодической печати. В книгах этой серии по возможности сохранены особенности авторского написания, сохраняется авторская пунктуация подлинников, соблюдается по возможности вид записи текстов произведений: расположение строк, отступов, "лесенка", курсив, прописные и строчные буквы и т. п.
Все книги серии снабжены вступительными статьями и примечаниями.

In this collection presents for the first time poems by A. Akhmatova in the composition, which can be labelled "Secret" the man".
This poem Akhmatova, who never in her life has not been printed, the poems that friends Akhmatova memorized and the originals of which were burned. They heard the voice of a great civic poet, shared suffering of his people and managed to talk about them.

A series of "Real Akhmatova" differs from all preceding editions of the poems of A. Akhmatova primarily as a textual study: all texts in this series are checked for autographs, stored in state archives and private collections, and the first publications in the periodical press. The books in this series possible saved features the author's writing remains the author's punctuation of the original, to observe the possible form of the written texts of works: location of lines, indents, ladders, italic, uppercase and lowercase letters, etc.
