Впервые публикуется курс лекций, читавшийся в Институте философии, теологии и истории св. Фомы в весенние семестры 2002-го и 2003 г. В курсе предпринята попытка разобрать ответ ведущей европейской и отечественной мысли на вызов современности. Рассматриваются определения, в каких строгая философия видит мир, его настоящую ситуацию и его задачи. История новой философии, начиная с Гегеля и гегельянских школ, продумывается как единый продолжающийся труд осмысления человеческой ситуации в мире. Проверяется гипотеза, согласно которой проблемы целого мира, тождества, ничто и нигилизма, онтологии как этики, решающие для судьбы современной цивилизации, осознанно или бессознательно ставятся ведущими мыслителями последних двух столетий в центр их интересов. Определяется ряд задач, остающихся новыми в рамках существующей историографии: показать сущностное тождество критики христианства у раннего Гегеля и у Ницше, ницшевской мысли о вечном возращении и теории мира у Витгенштейна, переживания (Erlebnis) Вильгельма Дильтея и присутствия (Dasein) в его подлинности у Хайдеггера и др.Для всех, кто увлечен философией.
