Книга родилась на основе путешествий автора, в том числе на Святую Гору весной 2012 года, в ходе которых ему удалось запечатлеть все увиденное и прочувствованное в своих фотостихотворениях, соединивших в себе две родственные Музы - фотографию и поэзию. Новый жанр искусства - фотостихи - ранее был впервые представлен автором в альбомах "По русским далям и просторам" (М., 2006) и "По свету с камерой и рифмой. 100 удивительных и заповедных мест мира" (М., 2009). Окунувшись в атмосферу книги, читатель сможет узнать самые яркие черты истории Афона, познакомиться с его сегодняшней жизнью и почувствовать ощущения русского паломника, попавшего наконец в Удел Богородицы. Обилие фотографий продемонстрирует неповторимое очарование святогорских мест и потрясающую панораму афонских монастырей и скитов. Из своего паломничества автор книги вернулся с одним желанием: "После стольких странствий по свету / Повесить в красном углу поскорей / Не маски, не сокровища, не амулеты, / А Богоматерь православного завета / С афонских дальних рубежей".

The book was born based on the travels of the author, including the Holy Mountain in the spring of 2012, during which he managed to capture everything I saw and experienced in their photostimulated, combining two related Muse - photography and poetry. A new genre of art - photosthe - was previously introduced by the author in the albums "On the Russian expanses and the expanses" (Wiley, 2006) and "around the world with camera and rhyme. 100 amazing and natural places in the world" (M., 2009).Having plunged into the atmosphere of the book, the reader will be able to learn the most striking features of the history of mount Athos, to meet his present life and feel the feelings of the Russian pilgrim, trapped finally in the Destiny of the virgin.
