Брошюра написана по материалам лекции для школьников 10–11 классов, прочитанной автором по приглашению А. В. Спивака. Первое издание книги вышло в 2005 году.

Broshyura napisana po materialam lektsii dlya shkolnikov 1011 klassov, prochitannoy avtorom po priglasheniyu A. V. Spivaka. Pervoe izdanie knigi vyshlo v 2005 godu.

Since the arguments of Galileo that the speed of the falling body may not be proportional to the distance traveled, we come to the denition of the logarithm as the area under the hyperbola and exponent as the inverse (the logarithm) function. A pamphlet written on the basis of lectures for pupils of 10-11 classes given by the author at the invitation of A. V. Spivak. The first edition came out in 2005.
