«Наша маленькая святая, Матронушка» — так ласково называют в народе одну из самых любимых и почитаемых святых, блаженную Матрону Московскую. Родившаяся незрячей, от Бога она была наделена великим даром чудотворства и предвидения. Нескончаемым потоком шли к ней страждущие, и никому не отказала она в помощи: молитвами своими исцеляла, отводила беду, боролась за каждую душу, спасая тысячи людей в самые тяжелые годы революции, войны, сталинских репрессий. А перед смертью своей сказала: «Как принимала, так и буду принимать, разговаривайте со мной, все горести свои поверяйте мне, я буду вас видеть и слышать, и что душе вашей скажу, то и делайте». Более полувека прошло после ее кончины, но снова идут и идут к Матронушке потоки людей — и на ее могилку на Даниловском кладбище, и в Покровский монастырь, поклониться ее образу и святым мощам. И по сей день творится великое множество чудес по молитвам святой Матроны Московской. Верующие люди знают: никогда не надо унывать и отчаиваться, ведь есть у нас заступница на небесах, умеющая отводить любую беду.
