Настоящая работа, написанная епископом Никанором (в миру Никифор Тимофеевич Каменский; 1847--1910), представляет собой исследование Послания к евреям --- одной из книг Нового Завета, авторство которой традиционно приписывается апостолу Павлу. Автор проводит анализ содержания и состава Послания, углубляясь "во все тонкие изгибы его логического и стилистического построения", то есть в особенности языка Послания. The author analyzes the content and structure of the Message, venturing "in all the subtle twists of his logical and stylistic construction", that is, in the language of the Message. He comes to the conclusion that the wealth of thoughts and feelings expressed in the Message, presents the best instruction in the Christian faith, which could only be given to the first Christians.
