The book of the famous American physicist R. Tolman contains a comprehensive presentation of the physical and mathematical foundations of the special and General theory of relativity and the observed effects that follow from it. The greatest part of the book is devoted to relativize the main sections of classical physics.
In the framework of the first special, then General relativity is considered mechanics of particles and dynamics of solid mechanical environments of electronic theory and dynamics of electromagnetic environments. Special attention is paid to the relativistic generalizations of thermodynamics resting and moving media.
Finally, about a third of the book is the presentation of cosmological models, which has already become a classic, but interesting and important still.
